纽约乳酪蛋糕 New York Cheesecake


 16年前,上天把可爱又聪颖的娜娜赐给我。
当时还是经过30小时阵痛的考验,
才把这贴心的娃儿带到这个世界。
16 years ago, I was given a cute and lovely bundle of joy --- NaNak. I actually had to go through 30 hours of labor pain before she was brought into this world.

越式香茅鸡(Lemongrass Chicken )

这是一道好好下饭的好料。
鸡肉入味香滑,酱汁更是一级棒!
我可是第一次,一连两天都煮同一道菜肴哦!
而且也悄悄的往心里搁,来日如有亲朋戚友到访,
我要为他们呈上这道好好吃的越式香茅鸡。 
This delicious dish goes well with rice. The chicken is fragrant and smooth while the gravy is just marvelous! This is my first time cooking the same dish two days in a row, and I've also made up my mind to introduce this dish to any visitors who should drop by.

网纹瓜西米露(Rock Melon and Sago Dessert)



炎热的天气,来杯冰凉鲜甜的网纹瓜西米露,
应该很赞吧!
In this hot weather, a cup of ice cold Rock Melon and Sago Dessert would be very cooling!



糯米鸡 (Steamed Glutinous Rice with Chicken)

有时候某些料理的名字叫人很疑惑。
之前烘过不用微波炉,却叫微波面包
又烘过不用牛奶却叫牛奶土司
今天这道糯米鸡,未曾吃过者,但看名字还以为是只鸡 ,
却原来主料是糯米,鸡肉只是部分的配料。
Some dishes have really strange names. For example, the Micro-wavy Bun that doesn't use the microwave, or the Milk Toast that doesn't use milk. Literally translated, this recipe's Mandarin name reads "Glutinous Rice Chicken", yet this dish is more about the glutinous rice than the chicken.

这面包名叫牛奶土司,可是一滴牛奶也没用上。
就是这原因,安迪才好奇想把它烘个究竟。
或许是淡奶油的关系吧,还挺奶味的。
Ironically, this "Milk Toast" does not have "milk" in its ingredients. Out of curiosity for this unusually named toast, I decided to give it a try. Probably due to the whipping cream, the toast had a delicious milky taste.

微波面包 (Micro-wavy Bun)


微波面包 -  又一款老早就很红的面包。
继昨天的大理石鸡蛋糕后,安迪再翻“待做清单”
选了这名为微波面包,但却不用微波炉烘的面包。
The Micro-wavy Bun --- another bun that was also famous some time ago. Having done the Marble Egg Cake yesterday, I checked my to-do list and decided to do this unusually named bun. Despite being named the "Micro-wavy Bun", the making of this bun does not involve the microwave!

 烘鸡蛋糕,一款早就家喻户晓的蛋糕。
时至今日,才出现在安家,讲起来安迪算是落伍了。
This Marble Egg Cake was all the rage some time ago, but to only make it now, I suppose I can be considered a little "late".

烧烤会那天,临时决定做蓝莓乳酪蛋糕。
想说趁人多热闹,提前给娜娜吹生日蜡烛,
于是和前来帮忙的好友- 宜一起翻柜倒橱,
东迁西就之下,勉强的弄个她爱的乳酪蛋糕出来。
On the day of the barbecue, I spontaneously decided to bake a Blueberry Cheese Cake as an early "Happy Birthday!" for NaNak.

巴厘岛烧肉 Babi Guling (Balinese Roast Pork)

Babi Guling 在印尼文是烤乳猪的意思。
安迪认识这巴厘岛烤乳猪,并非曾到过巴厘岛吃过,
而是走访Kimmy (Cooking Pleasure)的家,
偶然间看到,而对之好奇。
于是今天就烤来试试看。 
 "Babi Guling" means "roasted suckling pig" in Indonesian. I decided to make this dish mainly out of curiosity, after seeing it on Kimmy (Cooking Pleasure)'s blog.

可有问过,安迪究竟发生何事?
哈。。。。哈。。。。安迪没事, 但是安迪的电脑有事。
所以这些天,趁它入厂维修,我也去做我的常年全身体检。
很感恩的,一切健好。
I'm back! Ever wondered what happened to me? Haha, I'm fine, but the same can't be said for my computer. So while my computer visited a "doctor", I too went for my annual medical checkup. Fortunately, all is well.

小蜗牛面包(Little Snail Bun)


做了几回“快乐手做面包”的食谱,发现一般上水量都蛮高;
所以今天做这“小蜗牛面包,安迪就把水量调低少许
结果,顺利操作,造型满意。
Having done a few recipes from "快乐手做面包" , I realized that the dough tends to be very moist. Therefore, this time, I decided to reduce the liquid in this recipe. The end result was a easy-to-knead dough that I was very happy with.
